Cavetta Consulting, specialises in obtaining tax relief on property in the form of Capital Allowances and Land Remediation Relief. We offer our clients the benefit of an experienced team which has over 25 years between them of working with a leading capital allowances consultancy, whilst at the same time being able to offer fees which represents value for money on a par with anyone in the market.

We will not undertake an appointment under circumstances where we believe that our work will not add value to that company. In addition, we do not advocate receiving the full fee for our commission until the claim has been agreed with HM Revenue and Customs.

Land Remediation Relief

Land Remediation Relief

In order, to encourage more Brownfield development, the government introduced Land Remediation Relief in 2001, to address the market failure, in bringing back into use brownfield land and building sites.

The relief was introduced as an incentive for remediating contamination from land and buildings. The aim of this relief is to remove the cost barriers associated with this expenditure by giving a 150% deduction against qualifying expenditure. The intention being to influence the behaviour of developers, and to increase the supply of developable land (in particular to allow the development of housing).

The entitlement conditions for claiming Land Remediation Relief can be complex and it is currently only available to UK registered companies.

With over ten years’ experience in Capital Allowances Alan has been involved in delivering significant tax savings for small clients, international clients and institutional investors. Alan also works closely with other practices and clients lines by identifying tax saving opportunities from the initial design stage and extending all the way through the delivery of the project.

Alan has extensive experience of delivering tax savings in relation to the acquisition, refurbishment, sale, construction and the leasing of property. He works closely with clients and consultants, from all sectors nationwide, in the research,preparation and agreement of Capital Allowances claims,which range from simple office-purchases through to PFI projects.

In addition, Alan has also been involved in Land Remediation Relief projects for a major house builder and has prior experience of personal, corporate and a capital taxation and brings a more rounded and comprehensive view of taxation matters to the client.

Over the last 15 years Lois has managed a varied and large number of clients, including Investment Funds providing a proactive service to ensure maximisation of all tax reliefs available.
