About the Business

Following a varied career including military service, computer programming and even operating a number of petrol stations, in the late 1980's Ian was employed as a business consultant specialising in accounting-related software applications for the retail oil industry, resulting in what was then the rather common problem of redundancy! In 1990 Ian established his business as a sole practitioner accountant, specialising in the provision of a personalised service to the small business community.

Ian's philosophy is that an accountant's role is not one of assisting the client to avoid tax but rather making sure the client only pay's the correct amount of tax. It's about advising the client in regard to the financial side of their business, and helping them to "get it right"!
